South Youth Circuit Series 2024 – Final Rounds Update

We’re down to the last two rounds of the series – here are the key details:

24th July – Castle Combe

This is the final round for Category E (Under 8)
Trophies will be awarded to the U8 Boys & Girls winners

13th August – Mountbatten Centre

Final round of the series. Series awards will be presented to all other youth categories.

Effective for the 2025 season, weekend events for elite, first category and second category riders at the Mountbatten Centre circuit in Portsmouth have been reclassified as Regional C+.

Regional and national circuit and road race calendar coordination is led by British Cycling staff with the assistance of regional boards, working together to serve the sport by providing a balanced offering of high-quality races for license-holders of all categories.

As such, E/1/2 races on the Mountbatten circuit now carry Band 5 license points. This also brings the circuit into line with races held on other similar velodrome-style circuits in the UK.
